03 | TYPOGRAPHY - ISTD
Project overview:
For the 2020 ISTD project brief 4, Putting Things in Order,the task is to develop a typographic interpretation of a lesser known method or obscure way in which people "put things in order." This could be the things they own, the things that surround them or it could be how they categorise things in a social or ideological form. The decided topic/ approach should derive from broad-ranged initial research and well-considered decisions on what the topic may be and what fresh interpretation can be brought to its expression.

Design strategy:
Initial phases of this project saw the documentation of some of the most prolific art movements across history be expressed through a digital timeline. However, mid- project, the subject matter was adapted to be more unique, and shifted to examine which fine art movements most significantly affected Western fashion during their reign. A sophisticated colour palette, and specific typographic application relevant to each movement have been utilised throughout.
